The Design/Build process refers to a widely-used construction delivery system in which the project design and construction are handled by the same entity. Our strategy not only offers a decreased project risk, but a reduction in te overall schedule as well. Though not always the case, the design/build process often saves the owner money on the overall project costs because of its more tightly structured nature.

The Benefits of our Design-Build approach are many. Our clients appreciate our architectural design's and construction management services. For clients building their dream home, the ability to work with one team of professionals through our Design-Build process is very desirable. Design-Build allows our firm and the client of responsibility which makes for better communication. Design-Build can result in a more enjoyable construction process.

Compensation & Fees are then established and discused before beginning of work and put into an agreement in writting. This document will cover the scope of work to be performed, services, and our firms compensation. This agreement can take many forms from an in-house contact drafted by our firm. What is important to understand is that the agreement is in place to clarify the relationship and to protect all parties involved with the project.

Compensation can be calculated in many different ways and will generally be defined in the written agreement that you have entered with our firm. Listed below are some commonly used methods of compensation.

| Time-Based Methods -- Compensation based upon an hourly billing basis for the project in which salaries, benefits, overhead and profit are included in designated hourly rates.

| Stipulated Sum -- Compensation is stated as a fixed dollar amount based upon a clearly-defined scope of work.

| Percentage of Cost of the Work -- Compensation is calculated by applying an agreed-upon percentage to the cost of construction which is determined by the scope of work defined by the construction drawings.

| Square Footage -- Compensation is based upon square footage multiplied by a pricing factor.
